Over forty three years of legal experience equals proven expertise in confronting the legal challenges our clients face. Dedication to a superior work product translates to successful representation and client retention. I began my career in 1981, in private practice. I then joined TC Kimball & Associates, a four-person law firm, in 1987, which grew into a 70-lawyer law firm, known today as Kimball, Tirey & St. John, LLP, where I practiced law for a continuous thirty six years. I began as a managing attorney, and became a partner in 1995. I had the opportunity to work extensively with the commercial real estate industry, attracting a business clientele whom I ardently support to this day. I have now returned to private practice, RCTLaw, where I am looking forward to assisting clients, and delivering to them the special care, comprised of personal attention, and attention to detail, which makes the practice of law such a worthwhile labor of love.

My legal career began at California Western School of Law, where I obtained my J.D. degree in 1980. I was admitted to both the California and Federal Bar in 1981. My undergraduate BA degree is in Political Science, which I earned at San Diego State University in 1977. I am a graduate of Crawford High School, here in the San Diego area, class of 1973.

Some of my proudest work comes from being an active contributor to my community. I come from a family that knows what it truly means to serve others. My father was an air force pilot who served in WWII (P-47 Combat, 92 missions), Korea, and Vietnam, and, my grandfather fought in World War I. Our heritage in the USA traces itself back over 300 years, including Nathan Thorn who served in the colonial army in the Revolutionary War. Today, I am proud to carry on their devotion to service by offering my own opportunity to serve. I am a former President of the VFW Post 3783 Auxiliary in Ramona and continue to work with our military community. God bless our Vets!
